Review/ Wizard: "Thor"

Say hello to brand new album “Thor” by Wizard, the power/heavy metal legend from Germany. Wizard are exactly the kind of band for listeners who love heroic fantasy and bands like Hammerfall, Blind Guardian, Bal Sagoth, Manowar & Company…

As you will have figured out yourself by now, the album has been dedicated to thunder god Thor himself, which is not new for Wizard as they did the same in 2003 with their album “Odin”. The non-fan of the genre will most probably appreciate the song “The Visitor” with its driving refrain and metal hymn “I am Thor the mighty God”. Sven D’Anna is doputting down ing a breathtaking performance on this record which I really appreciated although I am not an insider of the genre.

Note also: This year, Wizard will celebrate their 20th anniversary and delight their fans with a massive tour & shows.
