Review/ Unlight "Death Consecrates With Blood"

Let's begin with an introduction for all of those who still don't know Unlight (where have you been all these years?): Unlight are a black metal band established in the late nineties by Necron and Blaspherion (both Guitarists). They produced their first two albums on the underground label Heavy Horses Records. After making a name for themselves and building up a reputation on the underground black metal scene, touring with other well-known bands, Unlight finally took a masssive step forwards and signed with a major label, Massacre Records.

“Death Consecrates With Blood” their third album, is a momentous mass and a confirmation of the strength of their former releases. “Death Concecrates With Blood” is filled to the brim with “thrashy Slayer riffs” and guitars cascades sniffing at the classic “At the heart of Winter” by Immortal. The sound is fantastic and completely crushes you.

Are Unlight the true heirs to the throne of Immortal? They might well be. Don´t pass on Unlight´s unholy power!
