We do not need to introduce Disbelief after being a reference on the Death Metal Scene for years. Like their former album “Navigator”, “Protected Hell” was recorded at Studio 23 by Michael Mainx; the majestic production is extremely clear and the riffs sound monumentally heavy. Karsten “Jagger” Jäger is giving a real Death Metal vocal lesson.
Although Disbelief are well known for being an innovate band, “Protected Hell” does not surprise as the band still sticks to their recognisable Mid Tempo songs. Nonetheless, “Return Of Sin”, to give just one example, is quite an emotional song.
On a personal note, I would have liked more breakneck-speed tracks like formidable “Hell goes on”.
A digipak edition with DVD is also available.
