Phuturistic Philharmonia

img
The Philharmonia Orchestra, London, is ready for the future. In a relatively short time, they have rebuilt their website into a truely incredible music portal, that defies comparison. Apart from an extensive section with historical information and background features on the orchestras musicians, there are interviews, music clips, masterclasses and pictures from rehearsal, which can be downloaded for free. Now, in co-operation with British Telecom, the so-called "sound-exchange project" will be taken one step further: On Saturday, 23rd April, Esa-Pekka Salonen will conduct Wagners Prelude & Liebestod from Tristan, Also sprach Zarathustra and Beethovens Piano Concerto No 5 (Emanuel Ax being the soloist) - and you can watch from your home-pc. All you need to do is register and tune in the night of the concert - for free! More of these online-events are planned, so keep watching!
