Logoplasm: 'kane-i-kokala' blindfoldedly nominated for Qwartz Award

Semi-mythical Italian sound act Logoplasm have been nominated for a Qwartz Electronic Music Award in the “Discover” category. Between December 15th and March 16th, their friends, fans and family will now be able to cast their vote for Logoplasm’s recent “kane-i-kokala” EP and push it straight to the top of the Qwartz charts. Other contenders for the prize, meanwhile, are “Minimental” by Chile’s Pirata [Chile] (a free online publication on the Pueblo Nuevo Netlabel), “Arcane” by Alexandre Navarro, “Clepsydre” by Nicolas de Zorzi, as well as Cyrill Schläpfer’s “Dampfschiffsymphonie / Die Waldstätte”, out on CSR Records. While all categories included in the Qwartz awards (ranging from “Experimental/Research” to “Clubbing” and “Artwork and Packaging”) feature some of the more prominent names on the experimental electronics scene, there is a sizeable amount of previously lesser known acts included in the line-up as well. This may mainly be down to the panel’s unique essentially terrifically fair and unprejudiced nomination method: Listening to the proposed pool of works blindfoldedly.
