Firstly, Ballyshannon’s “Abbey Centre” will host a program of “Music from the Italian and the Spanish tradition”, which on this occasion includes pieces by Rossini, Paisiello and Albéniz. The Concerto Malaga will also proudly present Ireland premiere of Rolla's “Divertimento in F Major for viola and strings”, which will see Massimo Paris playing his viola by Pietro Guarneri, an original from Mantua dating back to 1697. Just two days later, the group is set to take the same program to the “An Grianan Theatre” in Letterkenny. Sandwiched in between, two educational events aim at introducing pupils to orchestral music – before they can experience the thrill of listening to it live.
